Teeth Whitening

Tooth whitening can be achieved easily and effectively for most people. There are many reasons why you may want to whiten your teeth. Tea, coffee, food, wine and smoking can stain your teeth. Regular brushing can minimise the build up of plaque and staining. A professional dental clean can remove the external staining that is on your teeth, however it can not change the colour of your teeth.

There are different types of methods to whiten your teeth. Pola Day Home Whitening kit, and Pola Office In Chair Whitening are what we have found to be the most effective.

The Pola Day Home Whitening kit is the most common type of bleaching we use in our surgery. This method is performed with the dentist or dental hygienist making custom trays for your mouth, we then give you a kit of 10 whitening applicators in which you apply a very small amount in your trays and wear for 45 minutes per day. You continue using the whitening trays until you are happy with the shade. This method of whitening can lighten your teeth up to 12 shades lighter in 2-3 weeks. The best thing about the home whitening kit is you will have enough whitening applicators to top up in 6-12 months.

Pola Office In Chair Whitening is the fastest method of In Chair whitening on the market. It is completed whilst sitting in the dental chair and normally takes 30-60 minutes. This method of teeth whitening can lighten your teeth up to 6 shades lighter. The whitening gel is placed on your teeth and cured with a light up to 3 times in an appointment.

Regardless of which method you choose, the end result is a beautiful white smile!
